CPCCLRG3001 Licence to perform rigging basic level
Course Overview:
This course applies to those who are required to perform Rigging activities as part of their role.
It is the first of the three different levels of rigging.
DEFINITION – TAS SafeWork
Rigging work means the use of mechanical load shifting equipment (and associated gear) to
move, place or secure a load using plant, equipment or members of a building or structures, to
ensure the stability of those members or the setting up or dismantling of cranes or hoists.
Consists of dogging and rigging work involving:
• Movement of plant and equipment
• Steel erection
• Hoists (including mast climbing hoists)
• Placement of precast concrete
• Safety nets and static line
• Perimeter safety screens and shutters
• Cantilevered crane loading platforms
Who Should Attend:
There are no pre-requisites for this course identified within the industry training package.
Halo Nation Training do require learners to meet the following local entry requirements:
• Learners must be aged 18 years or older.
• Photo Identification is required to be sighted prior to course commencement
• Language, literacy and numeracy skills required to interpret work instructions, equipment
operating instructions.
• Learners must be dressed in their normal work clothing and be wearing steel capped boots.
• Learners must be alert and physically capable of driving safely.
